South Carroll's Michael Pizzuto joins elite Carroll County wrestling club
The Cavaliers are the reigning Class 1A state dual-meet champions.
Michael Pizzuto has yet to lose a high school wrestling match, and because of that impressive start to his prep career the South Carroll senior recently entered a prestigious group of Carroll County grapplers.
The Cavs' 160-pounder won his season-opening bout during South Carroll's 42-30 victory Dec. 7 against Middletown, and in doing so Pizzuto reached 100 career wins.
He's the 27th South Carroll wrestler to get there (teammate AJ Rodrigues did it at the end of last season).
Pizzuto helped the Cavs start 1-0 with their road win, and South Carroll improved to 3-0 after beating Walkersville (71-6) and Urbana (48-30) on Dec. 8 in Ijamsville.
