Carroll County lacrosse coaches name all-CCAL teams

All-Carroll County Athletic League boys and girls lacrosse teams for 2023.

(NOTE: A previous version of this article listed Andrew Vogel as a Winters Mill player. Vogel played for Francis Scott Key this past spring.)

Carroll County's lacrosse coaches gathered recently to come up with their all-county selections for the 2023 season, one that saw a pair of girls teams win state championships in late May.

Congratulations to Liberty (Class 1A) and Manchester Valley (Class 2A) for ending the spring with state titles -- the Lions won their third in as many years, and the Mavericks won for the first time in 7 years. There was success on the boys side as well, with Westminster winning its first county title since 2019 and Liberty making it back to the 1A state tournament.

But the girls ruled the spring.

I have brought up a stat more than once this season that I just can't get enough of -- thanks to Liberty and Man Valley, the county has at least one girls lacrosse state champ in every season played since 2006. What a run.

Anyway, onto the All-CCAL lacrosse teams for 2023!
