Carroll's wrestlers heading into regional tournaments

The dust has settled from the Carroll County Wrestling Championships, and the event was a big success at Westminster High School. In fact, Carroll teams enjoyed themselves so much they decided to stay home for the next round.

The county has three regional tournaments on tap this weekend -- the Class 2A West tourney taking place at Manchester Valley, the 1A North at South Carroll, and the 3A East at Westminster.

As was the case at counties, there are coed and girls divisions. And this time, finalists from each weight class advance to the 4A-3A and/or 2A-1A state tournaments set for March 3-5 at Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro.

So, let's take a look at the Carroll contingent competing Feb. 26 around the county in regional tournament action.

Class 2A West Region
