She's got game!

Girls basketball is going strong in Carroll County as we get into the intra-county portion of the schedule.

Let's not forget the Carroll County Athletic League girls basketball breakdown as the schedule heats up and mid-January approaches.

Liberty is leading the pack entering the week of Jan. 10-14, 2022. The Lions don't play again until Jan. 14 when they are set to host Westminster.

The Owls have played one game since Dec. 17, but they have three games on tap this week.

Century, meanwhile, started 6-0 before dropping its first game of the year when the Knights fell against Manchester Valley.

All four of those teams are vying for the top spot, but we've got plenty of games left to decide the county championship.

Girls Basketball Standings

Liberty is the reigning county champ, and the Lions were unbeaten in last winter's modified season amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Lions are off to another strong start and we handed out our first Athlete of the Week for the winter season to forward Jenna Liska. Check out our video with her below.

Westminster won in 2020 and 2018, sandwiched around a Francis Scott Key title in 2019. And Manchester Valley claimed back-to-back county crowns in 2016 and 2017.

So stay tuned to see how the remainder of this season shakes out.
