Edward F. Starrett is a USMC Veteran who served during the Vietnam War. He was awarded the Navy Cross for for extraordinary heroism while serving as a Mortar Gunner with Company G, Second Battalion, Fifth Marines, FIRST Marine Division (Reinforced), Fleet Marine Force, in connection with combat operations against the enemy in the Republic of Vietnam.  Edward shared his story of service with the Carroll County History Project.
