1. Christmas Tree Lighting

Join us in the excitement as we gather to light up the Town for the season! There will be holiday music from local schools and youth groups beginning at 6:15 PM. Santa will arrive promptly at 7:00 PM and afterwards will be visiting with families in his workshop.Cub Scout Pack 791 will have hot chocolate for sale in the War Memorial and more goodies will be for sale next door at St John's UMC by the Hampstead Farmers' Market Christmas Market from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. Be sure to visit the live Nativity by Crossroads Hampstead at Matthew's Tire from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
2. Christkindlmarkt

Come and join us for a German-style Christmas market. Food and drinks will be available to purchase, along with a variety of hand-crafted and unique gifts from vendors in the Grist Mill and Tannery. Our gift shop will be open for your holiday shopping as will the blacksmith and woodworking shops.A portion of the historic Homestead will be decorated and open for you to visit.Enjoy the sights and sounds of the holiday season at Union Mills, celebrating our German heritage!
3. Carroll County Farmer’s Market and Craft Show
November 23 @ 8:00 aM - 2:00 pM
On Saturday, November 23rd, is “Bring a Friend Day” at the Carroll County Farmers Market and Hand Made Crafts Show will run Saturdays only 8:00am – 2:00pm thru December 14th. Each week there will be 75-100 vendors selling a wide variety of handmade and home produced goods. Don’t forget to place your Thanksgiving orders with your favorite vendors.There will be vendors selling beef, pork and lamb. There will also be local fresh eggs, cheese, wine, nuts, honey, jams and jellies. Winter produce that may be available this week is kale, broccoli, cauliflower, potatoes, and sweet potatoes.Fresh evergreens, wreaths and arrangements can be found for the holidays as well as seasonal plants. Home baked goods and other gourmet foods are also available: pies, cakes, cookies, scones, breads, dip mixes and candy.Customers will find crafts and fine arts such as jewelry, pottery, wood crafts, photography, baby items, soaps, skin care items, fabric items and more.Breakfast and lunch will be served. Pancake breakfast and egg sandwiches are popular breakfast items. Homemade slices of pie and cake make great desserts.
4. A Serenade to Music: 20th Century Gems

Masterworks Chorale of Carroll County Fall 2024 Concert
This concert features works by a variety of 20th century composers such as Amy Beach, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, and R. Vaughan Williams. Selections also include the entirety of Frostiana: Seven Country Songs by Randall Thompson with works by Robert Frost. Come hear familiar favorites along with hidden gems. This concert is sure to enchant and entertain everyone.
5. McDaniel College Choir Concert
November 24 @ 7:00 pM - 9:00 pM
The McDaniel College Choir, under the direction of senior lecturer of music Kyle Engler, performs its fall concert featuring music from a variety of countries by diverse composers. The Green TerrorTones, the premier vocal ensemble at McDaniel, also performs.
