Two unbeatens remain after Carroll County football Week 2
South Carroll and Westminster will face off in Week 3 at Ruby Field in the latest chapter of the county's oldest rivalry.
Two weeks of the Carroll County high school football schedule are in the books, and after the dust settled we have two teams that will take 2-0 records into Week 3.
And they play each other Sept. 16 in Westminster, where the Owls host South Carroll at Ruby Field.
The Cavaliers won last season 16-7, but before that the Owls had won 9 of the last 10 matchups. South Carroll and Westminster have been playing each other since the late 1960s. The Owls are 34-20 in the all-time series.

Westminster 44, Linganore 28
Recap: Junior quarterback Kyrece Walker threw for 3 TDs and ran for 3 TDs as the Owls beat the Lancers for the first time since 2012. Walker passed for 238 yards and rushed for 164 in the win.
South Carroll 15, Northeast 9
Recap: AJ Rodrigues ran for two touchdowns and Ryan Carrado connected on a field goal for the Cavs, who have an 11-game regular-season win streak.
Manchester Valley 15, North Hagerstown 8
Recap: Markel Brown hauled in a TD pass from Jake Boog, and Ben Pitta ran for a score in the Mavericks' first win of the year. Man Valley hosts Liberty on Sept. 16.
Francis Scott Key 22, St. John's-Catholic Prep 14
Recap: Jermaine Dawson led the Eagles (1-1) on offense with 141 rushing yards, and Gary Bavetta had a defensive TD in the victory. FSK takes on Winters Mill on the road in Week 3.
Boys' Latin 21, Liberty 20
Recap: Sam Evans had 5 catches for 145 yards and a touchdown, and Jack Pellicciotti ran for 71 yards and a score. But the Lions (1-1) fell short and travel to Man Valley in Week 3.
Chesapeake 14, Winters Mill 7
Recap: The Falcons dropped to 0-1 despite hanging with Chesapeake, which beat WM 34-7 in last year's matchup. Luke Snyder scored a touchdown for the Falcons.
Bel Air 20, Century 0
Recap: Trey Helmick led the Knights with 42 rushing yards. Century hosts Meade on Sept. 16.
