Manchester Valley gets past South Carroll to pad winning streak

Manchester Valley led visiting South Carroll by 23 points at halftime and never looked back in a 53-20 girls basketball win on Jan. 24.
The Mavericks (13-1, 6-1 Carroll County Athletic League) won their 10th in a row behind 13 points from Autumn Stottlemire and eight from Carmaya Bowman, who added eight rebounds. Krysten Lucas had seven points and Brenna Murphy grabbed five rebounds in the win.
Katrina Thompson led the Cavaliers (3-10, 1-6) with six points. SC dropped its fifth game in a row.

Recap: The Falcons (7-5) erased a fourth-quarter deficit with 2 minutes to go, but couldn't complete the comeback. Tyler Sabad led WM with 14 points and Jacob Hinkhaus scored 10.
Howard 58, Westminster 40
Recap: Westminster jumped out to an early lead, but couldn’t hold off Howard after the first quarter. Liam Long led the Owls (2-9) with 9 points, while Chance Byrnes had six rebounds, five points, and three assists.
