Memorable night for Francis Scott Key's Ryan Rill

CMSportsNet winter high school sports recap for Jan. 31, 2022.

The final day of January will always be a special one for Ryan Rill.

The Francis Scott Key senior helped his team post a 65-54 victory over Pikesville and give the Eagles their sixth victory in a row. Late in the game, Rill also reached 1,000 career points to become the sixth player in FSK boys basketball history to reach the milestone.

Rill finished with 25 points and added 10 rebounds for the Eagles, who ran their record to 10-3. They haven't lost since Jan. 4 against Century, and they're 4-2 in Carroll County Athletic League play entering February.

Jaeden Heiser chipped in with 17 points and seven assists for Key.

CMSportsNet selected Rill as an Athlete of the Week early in the season. Check out that video below.
